Simple Three Card Spread

This is a good way to start with tarot. Some people like to have a special cloth to lay the cards on. This is optional. Shuffle the cards and lay down three, from left to right.

A simple and effect way to determine the positions are to make the left, the past and the center, the present. You can make the far right card represent the future.

Sit down, relax, and clear the mind. Concentrate on something that you wish to know. It can be problem solving or what to do about a certain situation.

There are so many different cards that you may get and interpretation is sometimes personal. You may wish to use a book or an online tutorial for reference. This will give you a generalized meaning for each card.

Whether you use general meanings to help or not, it is best to concentrate on the cards. Ask yourself what they mean to you. You may need to close your eyes and wait for a moment. Eventually something should come to you.

Some people will have an easier time than others. However, it may help to visualize. Close your eyes and try to see what is happening. If you want clarification, lay three more cards on top of the previous three.

With practice, you may be able to see many things. You might discover that you have a gift.
